WEBSTER – Charles Rzeszutko, 88, of 27 Tower St., died Sunday, May 7, in Hubbard Regional Hospital.
He leaves his wife of 60 years, Jennie P. (Zdrok) Rzeszutko; 2 sons, Richard Rizutko and James Rzeszutko, both of Webster; 2 daughters, Christine Goodwin of Upton and Marcia Jarosz of Brandon, FL; a brother, Bronek Rzeszutko of Dembica, Poland; 5 grandchildren; a great grandson; nephews and nieces.
He was born in Webster, the son of Walter and Aniela (Kania) Rzeszutko. He lived in Poland for 10 years, returning here in 1934.
He was an Army veteran of World War II, serving as a staff sergeant with the 548th Field Artillery Battalion in Normandy, the Rhineland and Central Europe.
Mr. Rzeszutko worked as a loom fixer at Anglo Fabrics Company and then as a foreman at Dudley Woolen Company, retiring in 1982.
He was a member of St. Joseph Basilica and the Polish American Citizens Club. He was a life member of the Polish American Veterans.
The funeral, with military honors, will be held Thursday, May 11, from the Sitkowski & Malboeuf Funeral Home, 340 School St., with a Mass at 10:00 AM in St. Joseph Basilica, 53 Whitcomb St. Burial will be in St. Joseph Garden of Peace.
