Mario Frank Summa, 88 of Medford died Sunday after a brief illness in the Brighten At Medford Medford.
Born in Boston, he lived in Medford for the past 55 years and formerly of the North End of Boston. Mario was the son of the late Gaetana (Catalfo) and Frank Summa. He was a presser at the former Craft Manufacturing, in Boston for 25 years and retired in 1984. Mario and his wife Anne celebrated 55 years of marriage on April 29, 2006.
Beloved husband of Anne M. (Spinale) Summa. Devoted father of Robert Summa of East Boston, John Summa of Medford, and Christine Christie of Tewksbury. Loving grandfather of Robert, Melissa, Michael and Rachel. Brother of Ann Antonino of Charlestown, Theresa Sirignano of Boston, and the late Maryann Trodella, Frank, James, Michael and Gaspar Summa.
Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., MEDFORD Thursday at 10 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Joseph Church, 118 High St., Medford, at 11 AM.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
Visiting hours Wednesday 4 thru 8.
Services will conclude with burial at St. Michael Cemetery, Boston.
