WEBSTER – Tadeusz Karlowicz,72, formerly of Webster, died Thursday, May 26, 2022 in Baystate Medical Center after an illness. His wife of 36 years, Genowefa J. (Serbin) Karlowicz died in 2006.
He leaves his daughter with whom he lived, Katarzyna M. “Kasia” Wysocki of West Springfield; 2 grandsons, Andrew C. Wysocki and Daniel J. Wysocki; a sister, Grazyna Futoma and her husband Miroslaw of New Haven, CT; a sister-in-law, Maria D. (Jaszczerska) Karlowicz of Dudley; nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by both his son, Piotr “Peter” Karlowicz and his brother, Jerzy Karlowicz in 2020.
He was born on March 4, 1950 in Olecko, Poland a son of Jan and Irena (Chomicz) Karlowicz and emigrated to the United States in 1986.
Mr. Karlowicz first worked as a welder in the shipyards in Poland, after moving here he was a machinist with Reed Rico in Holden.
He was a member of Saint Joseph Basilica.
The funeral will be held Thursday, June 2, from the Sitkowski, Malboeuf & Hickey Funeral Home, 340 School Street, with a Mass at 11:00 AM in Saint Joseph Basilica, 53 Whitcomb Street. Burial will be in Saint Joseph Garden of Peace. Visitation will be held from 8:30 to 10:30 AM, in the funeral home prior to Mass.
