David Michael Burger, 57, of Sullivan, loving husband, father and grandfather, unexpectedly passed away the weekend of May 14th, 2022. Born and raised in Medina, he resided many years in Spencer.
David was a Master Craftsman woodworker and was employed by Fortney and Weygandt Inc. as a project superintendent. David's legacy of work includes many public and private well-known businesses and residential homes in Ohio and various states. He was a proud Boy Scout of America.
Survivors include his high school sweetheart and wife of 39 years, Susan (Leonard); sons, Alan (Amber), Ryan and Aaron; grandchildren, Kallie and Paige Burger and Brayden Toot-Burger; siblings, Jim (Nancy) Lisa and Janine (Dwayne, deceased) Warner; mother-in-law, Joan; brother-in-law, Anthony; nephew, Rob; nieces, Kaitlyn, Megan (Jeff), Amanda (Mickey) and Krista; great-nieces, Kaye and Knell; great-nephew, Jack and cousin, Toni (John) Bates.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jerry and Lucille and his father Al Leonard.
A memorial gathering will be held for family and friends Saturday, June 4, 2022 from 3 to 6 p.m. at 7126 Egypt Road, Medina, OH.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the family would be greatly appreciated.
