Katie B. Russell (95) of Brockton died May 21st in the Signature Healthcare Brockton Hospital. She was the wife of the late Donald Russell.
She was born in Americus, Georgia daughter of the late Fred Drain and Willie Pearl Carter. Katie was a member of House of Prayer #5 Apostolic Church of God and enjoyed dancing, playing cards, listening to the “blues” and socializing with family and friends.
Katie is survived by 2 sons, James Jones and Donald Russell Jr. both of Brockton, 3 daughters, Bobbie Starks, Nadine Russell-Johnson and Cassandra Russell all of Brockton, many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Viewing in the House of Prayer #5 Apostolic Church of God, 848 Main Street Brockton Thursday June 2nd from 9-10 am. Services to follow at 10 am. Burial to follow in Melrose Cemetery, 88 N Pearl Street Brockton.
