Paul Francis McGrath, 85, of Worcester died Friday, May 20th peacefully at home. He is survived by his daughter, Dawn P. Nugent of Holden, and his sons, Dennis P. McGrath of Conesus, NY and David P. McGrath of with whom he lived. He also leaves his twin sister, Pauline Westergaard of Torrance, CA. Paul also leaves two granddaughters, Sarah Nugent of Charlton and Emily Nugent of Worcester, a great-grandson, and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife, Theresa (Biddle) McGrath, his brother, John McGrath, his sister, Margaret McCarthy and his grandson, James Nugent.
Paul was a proud veteran of the United States Air Force and a long time custodian of the Worcester Public Schools where he retired to care for his ailing wife. He was an avid fan of Boston sports teams and the Dallas Cowboys.
Calling hours will be held at O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue, Worcester, on Tuesday, May 24th, 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. with a short prayer service at 6:30pm. Procession will be held from the funeral home to St. John’s Cemetery on Wednesday, May 25th at 11:00 a.m.
