Samuel McCracken of Walpole formerly of Needham died on Fri May 5, 2006 at Caritas Norwood Hospital. He was 82.
Born in Boston he graduated from Bentley College with a degree in accounting and had operated McCracken-Cooper & Co., a Certified Public Accounting firm in Waltham for many years. He had lived in Needham for over 40 years before moving to Walpole. He was a longtime active member of the Carter Memorial United Methodist Church in Needham, a member of Norfolk Lodge AF & AM of Needham and a member of the Aleppo Temple Shrine. He enjoyed golfing was an avid reader and had volunteered at the Needham Community Council.
He is survived by his wife Ann (Barr) McCracken, his daughter Janet McCracken and her husband Tom Entrikin of Medfield, his son Richard McCracken and his wife Karen Riley McCracken of Wallingford, CT and his grandchildren Russell and Daniel Entrikin and Marykate and Kenny McCracken.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
