Elizabeth L. DiMambro of Woburn passed away suddenly at the Winchester Hospital on Friday, May 5, she was the wife of Milio DiMambro.
Born in Malden eighty years ago, she was the daughter of the late Addie (Dingle) and Harold McHardy. Elizabeth’s mother passed away when she was a child and her father remarried the late Mildred (Martin) McHardy who raised Elizabeth. She later met Milio and they settled in Woburn some fifty-eight years ago.
Elizabeth was devoted to raising her family, her grandchildren and great grandchildren were very important to her. She also was a avid reader, loved to crochet, and was a big Red Sox fan.
In addition to her husband Milio she is survived by her daughter Beth Geary and her husband Bob of Woburn. Her five grandchildren John DiMambro and his wife Colleen of Woburn, Jennifer DiMambro, Michelle, Tracy and Matthew Geary, three great grandchildren Nicole, Anthony and Skyler. One sister Nancy Hagar of NH., five brothers, John McHardy of Burlington, Martin McHardy of Tewksbury, Robert McHardy of Groveland, David and William McHardy of Reading. She also leaves her special friend Karen Carchide.
She was predeceased by her son John DiMambro and two sisters, June McHardy and Carol Talbot
Her funeral will be held from the McLaughlin - Dello Russo Funeral Home, 60 Pleasant St. Woburn, on Wednesday, May 10, at 8 a.m., followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Charles Church, 280 Main St. Woburn at 9. Services will conclude with burial at Woodbrook Cemetery, Woburn.
