James Guido Downey, 84, of Johnston, passed away Wednesday, May 11, 2022.
Born in Providence, he was the son of the late James and Elizabeth (Ferlingere) Downey. He was the loving husband of Dorita A. (Saran) Downey.
James worked for Airport Taxi for 25 years. He was an avid lover of the Game Show Network, Foxwoods Bingos, Las Vegas vacations, and playing cards.
He was the brother of the late Francis (Downey) Rhodes. The devoted father of Sharon (Downey) Savela, the late Stephen Downey, and Keith Downey. A grandfather of eight . Many in-laws, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Burial will be private. A future memorial will be announced by the family.
