Obituary

WATERBORO- Lauren Ann Cabral, age 57 passed away on May 15th 2022 at home with her family by her side.
Lauren was born in Brookline, Massachusetts on July 25th 1964, a daughter of Joanne Mackinnon and stepdad Gilbert and the late Albert Cochrane. Lauren graduated from Foxboro High School and later moved to Maine where she met her soulmate of 25 years.

Lauren was a nature enthusiast who loved dragonflies and all forms of wildlife. She loved to camp, fish, race, garden, craft, bake and most of all spend time with her family. She was a proud mother to four children and an incredible Nani to six grandchildren, whom she loved dearly.

Lauren would be found at her summer residence at Naples Campground playing bingo, floating in the pool, and joking around with her many friends. She had an extremely positive attitude and was a pranking queen. Her laughter was infectious, and often heard throughout the whole campground.

Lauren is survived by her beloved husband James “Jimmy C” Cabral; her children- Edward Moran, Lindley Moran and his wife Shaylyn, Matthew Cabral and his wife Joelle, Katie Cutting and her husband Ryan; grandchildren Chloe, Kendall, Owen, Preston, Liam, and Milo; she is also survived by her brothers Albert Cochrane Jr and wife Liane, David Cochrane and his wife Chani, and sister Barbara Duffey and her husband William.


Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday May 24 from 1 - 3 PM at the Chad E. Poitras Cremation and Funeral Service Chapel, 498 Long Plains Road (Rt. 22) in Buxton. A memorial service will immediately follow at the funeral home at 3 PM. A celebration of life will follow at The Roost
