Obituary

Finley Larry Merisca was born on August 14, 1979 in Boston. He was born to loving parents, Refilna and Canes Merisca. As the youngest of 2 boys, Finley developed a competitive spirit. As a child, he grew to love playing video games and would often do everything he could to beat his brother. When not playing video games, you could find him outside playing a variety of games with neighborhood friends. Finley took that competitive nature to high school where he played football for 4 years at Catholic Memorial H.S.

Upon graduating High School, Finley attended Johnson & Wales University in Providence, Rhode Island. There, he earned a Bachelor degree in Business. After graduation, Finley moved back to Boston and started his career at Bed, Bath, and Beyond. He ascended to Department Sales Manager before leaving the company.

Finley always enjoyed lifting weights, and going on hikes. when he was not being active, you often could find him at a local bookstore or at home reading books. Although he enjoyed a variety of genres, his favorites were Fantasy and Black Empowerment. He also enjoyed kicking back and binge watching Japanese Anime movies and writing. Lastly, Finley had an affinity for cooking and would often post hilarious videos of his cooking adventures on social media.

Finley's heart was larger than life. His friends would often tell stories of how selfless, giving, and caring he was. He had a witty sense of humor and his smile was infectious. Finley leaves behind a legacy of having an impact on each and every person who knew him.

Viewing hours are on Monday May 23, from 9-10 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at 10 AM in Our Lady of Mount Carmel located at 1548 Blue Hill Ave, Mattapan, Ma. Burial will be in New Calvary Cemetery, 800 Harvard Street, Mattapan, Ma.
