Rita T. Medeiros, age 86, passed away on Saturday, March 26, 2022 in South Carolina following a lengthy illness.
Rita was born in Bridgewater, MA., a daughter of the late Marcello and Mary (Cortese) Zanellato. In addition to her parents, Rita was pre-deceased by a brother Lelio Zanellato.
Rita loved her career as a beautician, loved the ocean, sailboats, and especially loved shopping. But first and foremost, she cherished time with family.
Surviving are her children: Peggy Lumsden (Everette), Jon Medeiros (Vanessa), Todd Medeiros and Mark Medeiros (Zenda), her siblings; Anna Cabral, Luigi Zanellato, Theresa Perry, Elenor Castro and George Zanellato and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Visiting hours will be held at the O’Keefe Wade Funeral Home, 70 Washington St., Taunton, MA 02780 on Saturday, June 25th from 10-11am. A graveside service will follow at St. Thomas Aquinas Cemetery in Bridgewater, MA at 12pm.
