Ernest W. “Terry” Roberts, III, 63, of Worcester died unexpectedly on Friday, May 13th in UMASS Memorial Medical Center – University Campus. He leaves his wife, Leeann (Denman) Roberts with whom he would have celebrated his 25th wedding anniversary on Sunday; his daughter, Jacquelyn Roberts of Johnson City, TN; three stepchildren, Jennifer Lombardini of Hopkinton, Glenn Lombardini of Virginia, and Amber Lombardini of Worcester; a sister, Eliza Roberts of DeForest, WI; his half-siblings, Jill Halstead, Ellen Halstead and her husband, Dave, Laura Halstead, Richard Halstead and his wife, Tamara, and Peter Burns and his wife, Jackie; his sister-in-law, Matilda Clemmons; three brothers-in-law, Devon Clemmons and his wife, Jackie, Richard Denman and his wife, Noemi, and Robert Denman; his biological mother, Janet Nichols of Sudbury. He also leaves three grandchildren, Morgan, Kennedy, and Hayzleigh; a close friend, Dave Geary of Upton; and his dog, Bella.
He was born in Boston the son of Ernest W. Roberts, Jr. and Nelly (Scott) Roberts. Terry worked for General Insulation for the past seven years as a truck driver. He was a lifelong music enthusiast and a talented drummer. Terry had an infinite love for wildlife, especially his cardinal “Frankie” who would visit him every day for peanuts while he sat on his porch. He enjoyed spending his time outdoors at the beach and four-wheeling. A master-griller with a quit wit he cherished the time he spent entertaining family and friends. Terry was known for the songs and jokes that he had for every occasion. He was light-hearted, down-to-earth, and intelligent man who enjoyed life to the fullest.
Calling hours are Thursday, May 19th from 4:00 until 6:00 p.m. in O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association, 1661 Worcester Rd UNIT 301, Framingham, MA 01701.
