Donald E. Dolph, of Newton Upper Falls, died Fri May 6, 2006 of cancer at the Tippett House in Needham. He was 80.
Born in Natick he attended schools there. He served with the U.S. Navy Sea Bee’s during WW II. He worked as a manger for Kenworth Trucks and for Ryder Transportation and was a driver for Eastern Bus for the Wellesley Public Schools. He also drove for Exploration, a summer camp at Wellesley College. He was also an avid reader.
He is survived by his wife Virginia (Lane) Dolph his son Donald E. Dolph Jr. of Boston his daughter Sandra Dolph of Newton, his brother Lawrence Dolph and his wife Patricia of Beverly and his grandchildren Shayne Emery, and James and David Steinwachs. He was the father of the late Cathy Steinwachs and brother of the late Corinne Dolph. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Wed May 10 at 10 AM in the Newton Cemetery Chapel 791 Walnut St. Newton Centre. Relatives and friends are kindly invited.
