Obituary

Juanita Irene “Nita” (Ford) Bradspies, 84, died peacefully on Thursday, May 12, 2022 following a brief illness.
She was born in Dalton, MA on June 9, 1937 the daughter of the late William Warner Ford and Rose (Nardo) Ford.
She was the beloved wife for 31 years of the late Sydney Bradspies who died on July 22, 1996.
Nita has been a resident of Wayland for over 40 years and previously resided in Mansfield. She received her BS in Chemistry from UMASS in Amherst. She had a long career as a Chemist in the Film Manufacturing Dept. of the Polaroid Company.
Her interests included attending Tanglewood and the Boston Symphony Orchestra, which she enjoyed with Sydney. Nita loved to garden at her residence and cooking for family and friends.
Nita is survived by her three nieces Robin Metzner Augello of Baldwinsville, NY; Debra Metzner of New Windsor, NY and Lauren Metzner Jurgens and her husband Bruce Jurgens of Littleton who assisted Nita in her later years. She was the Great-Aunt of Nicholas Augello and his wife Samie Kaufmann of Los Angeles, CA; Stephanie Augello of New York, NY; Cooper Jurgens and Alivia Jurgens both of Littleton.
At Nita’s request, private family services and interment with her husband Sydney will be held at the Bradspies family lot in Lakeview Cemetery in Wayland.
