WEBSTER - Loretta V. (Andrych) Stefanik, 87, of Christopher Heights, died Saturday, May 6, after being stricken ill. Her husband of 28 years, Anthony P. Stefanik, died in 1982.
She leaves 2 sisters, Anita Perlak and Joyce Miller, both of Webster; nieces and nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
She was born in Webster, a daughter of John and Victoria (Kosmas) Andrych and lived here all her life. She graduated from Elizabeth Oli’s School in Worcester.
Mrs. Stefanik was a hairdresser for 50 years at Carrie’s Beauty Shop before retiring in 1988. In her retirement, she was the hairdresser at Oakwood Rehab & Nursing Center for many years.
She was a member of Saint Joseph Basilica. She had been a member of Saint Anthony of Padua Church in Dudley for 28 years and of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church for 10 years, where she served as a Eucharistic minister.
The funeral will be held Wednesday, May 10, from the Sitkowski & Malboeuf Funeral Home, 340 School Street, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM in Saint Joseph Basilica, 53 Whitcomb Street. Burial will be in Saint Anthony’s Cemetery. A calling period will be from 9:15 to 10:15 AM Wedensday, May 10, in the funeral home.
