Obituary

Gilford-Vianna Mae LaPierre, 85, of 18 Sargent’s Place died Friday evening, May 5th, 2006 at Lakes Region General Hospital after a brief illness.

Vianna was the daughter of the late Robert H. and Geneva (Morgan) Perkins. She was born in Brookline, MA on March 31, 1921 and had been a resident of Gilford since 1981 coming from Meredith, NH.

Vianna enjoyed gardening as well as antiquing every weekend. She had a true passion for reading, as she would read anything she could get her hands on. She enjoyed time spent with her family and friends and loved to travel up and down the East Coast. Her bond with her Doctor’s; Dr. Valentin Milchev, and Dr. Robert Friedlander, Jr. gave her great peace and made her last day’s comfortable for her, and comforting for her family.

Her husband George W. LaPierre predeceased Vianna in 1981.

Vianna is survived by three sons, Gary LaPierre of Bristol, NH, Greg LaPierre of Greenland, NH, and George LaPierre, Jr. of Milford, NH, and one daughter, Jean Goodwin of Oklahoma City, OK. 6 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild also survive Vianna.

A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Saturday May 20th, 2006 at Our Lady of the Lake’s Church, 51 Washington Street, Laconia at 10:30 a.m. There were no visiting hours. Burial took place in the family lot at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Garfield Street, Laconia on Tuesday, May 9th, 2006.
