Carol M. (Allen) O’Brien, 79 of Lowell, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 9, 2022 at Lowell General Hospital Saints Campus. She was the wife of Frederick J. O’Brien with whom she spent the last 61 years of marriage.
She was born in Lowell on January 9, 1943 and was a daughter of the late Roswell and Vera (Taisey) Allen. She was raised in Lowell, where she attended the area schools.
Carol was employed as an assembler at MCF Industries in Lowell for many years before her retirement.
In addition to her husband, Frederick of Lowell, she is survived by her sister, Gladys Gernand and her husband, Gerard of Hagerstown, PA; her two grandchildren, Ashley Donohue of Leominster and Nicholas Boucher of Clinton; and several nieces and nephews.
Carol was predeceased by her two children, the late Frederick O’Brien and the late Cathleen O’Brien.
