Obituary

Ethan J. Orpin, a resident of Andover and beloved son of Linda J. Foley of Andover and Mark D. Orpin of Wilmington, passed away at the UMass Medical Center in Worcester on Saturday, May 7, 2022. He was 21 years old.

Born in Boston, Massachusetts, on December 22, 2000, Ethan was one of two surviving triplets.  With his Harrison Ford grin and John Wayne swagger, his happiness was contagious.  He had a refined palate and loved lobster and other fine foods. Ethan had eclectic taste in music from modern to jazz to rock and classical. He loved to dance and tap to the beat.  Ethan made an impact on everyone he met.  He inspired people to enter the field of Special Education although so many of his teachers have said that he taught them more than they did him.  Ethan also taught us to see beauty, truth and to be kind, caring and compassionate.

Besides his mother, Linda and father, Mark, Ethan is survived by his loving brother; Nolan F. Orpin of Andover, sister; Nora A. Orpin of Andover, his father's companion Sue Bonaccorso, aunts and uncles; Carolyn and her husband John Millett of Orleans, Stephen and his wife Debra Foley of Freetown, Mark Foley of Holbrook, Susan McSheffrey of Attleboro, Heather Lemoine of Randolph and Deborah and her husband David Dietz of Westport and many cousins. Ethan was also the brother of the late David W. Orpin and grandson of the late Patricia "Nana Pat" (Nolan) Foley and Marjorie and Jim Orpin.
