Elizabeth A. Carreiro, 72, passed away May 7, 2022 at St. Luke’s Hospital, New Bedford, MA with her daughters by her side.
Born in Fall River, she was the daughter of the late Vincent and Lois (Wilkinson) Kenyon. She resided in Tiverton, Fall River, and most recently in New Bedford.
Elizabeth is survived by her daughters: Belinda Carreiro of Tiverton and Dawn Carreiro of Fall River, her grandchildren: Justin Carreiro, Francisco Pimentel Jr., and Victoria Pimentel, and her great-grandchildren: Grayson, Lilah, and Clayton Carreiro. She was the mother of the late Robert Carreiro Jr.
Elizabeth obtained her General Education Diploma, was a self-taught silk floral arrangement designer, and a self-employed housekeeper. She enjoyed butterflies, palm trees, and trips to a park, beach or zoo. She trusted in the Lord and cherished spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests those who wish to express sympathy to consider lighting a candle in her memory at St. Anne’s Shrine or to make a donation to St. Anne’s Preservation Society, 818 Middle Street, Fall River, MA 02721. A private interment will be at Pocasset Hill Cemetery in Tiverton.
