Along with being an avid New England sports fan, “The G.O.A.T” (affectionately referred to by his grandchildren) also considered himself a true patriot who was proud of his heritage flying the American and Irish flags proudly for all to see. Blessed with a heart of gold and always willing to help, David will be missed immensely by all who knew him. Some of his favorite pastimes include spending time with his canine companion Bruno, hosting BBQ’s and pool parties with family at his home during the summer months, and sharing stories of his “Mad Dog Dave” years by the campfire with a Marlboro in one hand and a Bud Light in the other. Additionally, he loved the game of golf and enjoyed spending time at the 19th hole with his dear friend of 56 years, Rory LaBate.

May the road rise up to meet you
May the wind be always at your back
May the sun shine upon your face
May the rain fall soft upon your fields
And until we meet again
May god hold you in the palm of his hand
