Robert K. Rice, of Newton, formerly of Medford, May 3rd. Beloved son of the late George and Mary (Hardiman) Rice. Dear brother of Patricia Rice and her husband Eugene Degenkolb of Newton. Loving uncle of Mary Ellen Deleppo and her husband Michael of Clinton and Paul Degenkolb of Everett. Loving great uncle of Grace and Rose. Dear cousin of Helen Bickford of Nashua, NH. Robert was raised in Medford. He is a graduate of Immaculate Conception Grammar School in Malden and Malden Catholic High School, Class of 1955. For over 30 years, he taught English at Canton High School. Relatives & friends are invited to attend his funeral from the Breslin Funeral Home, 610 Pleasant St., Malden on Tuesday May 10th at 9 AM followed by a Funeral Mass celebrated at Immaculate Conception Church, 600 Pleasant St., Malden at 10 AM. Services will conclude with interment in Oak Grove Cemetery in Medford. Visitation will be held at the funeral home prior to the Mass on Tuesday only.
