Obituary




Thelma (DiCio) DeLucia passed away peacefully at the Winchester Nursing Center on Thursday, April 28th. She was age 95. Born and raised in Canonsburg, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late Chauncy and Mary (Burlone) DiCio. As a teenager she came with her family from Canonsburg and eventually settled in Medford where she and her late beloved husband raised their family. A loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister, Thelma was devoted to her family. She cooked with great passion and loved to prepare delicious meals, whether simple or grand, and to share them with those she loved. For many years Thelma worked as the Assistant to the President of the Servomation Corp, where she shared in the leadership, administration and management of the company. Thelma enjoyed reading and composing poetry. She published some of her works and won awards for talent. She also volunteered at the Medford Senior Center. A wonderful neighbor and friend, Thelma will always be remembered for her warmth, kindness and generosity.

The beloved wife of the late Frank H. DeLucia, who passed away in 2012, Thelma was a devoted mother to Ronald DeLucia and his companion Joanne MacIsaac of Medford, and Allan DeLucia and his wife Deborah of Burlington. She was a loving grandmother to Elyse Vidoli of N. Andover and step-grandmother to Brandon Daly and the late Shawn Daly. Thelma was the dear sister of the late Lucia Mirlocca and Louis DiCio.

Thelma’s funeral will gather at the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St. Medford on Friday, May 6th at 10:30 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Joseph Church, 118 High Street, Medford, at 11:30 AM. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend and may visit with the family at the funeral home on Thursday, 4 – 8 PM.
