WORCESTER-Margaret “Peggy” Hoyen, passed away comfortably at home, Wednesday, April 19th. She leaves 3 brothers, Thomas Hoyen of Worcester, Dr. Harry Hoyen of Rochester, NY and George Hoyen of Worcester, 3 sisters, Helen Hoyen, Dorothy Hoyen and Mary Szoke all of Worcester a brother in law Jack Feeley of Worcester, and nephews including Dr. Alex Hoyen of Cleveland, OH, nieces, grand nephews and grand nieces. A sister Phyllis Hoyen died in 2002.
She was born in Worcester the daughter of Harry and Elizabeth (George) Hoyen. Ms. Hoyen had worked for the former Harrington and Richardson Company as an inspector, and retired from Worcester City Hospital as a nurses aide in 1984. She was a member of All Saints Church, enjoyed big band music and dancing.
The funeral is Monday, May 8th with a service at 11:00 AM in O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue. Burial will be in Hope Cemetery. A calling hour will be held from 10:00 AM until the time of the funeral. Please omit flowers and make contributions to St. Matthew’s Church, 695 Southbridge Street, Worcester, MA 01603.
