West Brookfield – James P. Bjorkman, 74, of West Brookfield and formerly of Worcester, passed away peacefully in his home while surrounded by his family on Saturday, April 23, 2022.

Mr. Bjorkman was married to the late Betty Ann Bjorkman, who died in 2007. He is survived by three sons, Michael A. Bjorkman of Louisiana, James A. Bjorkman of West Brookfield and Richard R. Bjorkman of Gardner; a daughter, Annette M. Bjorkman of Washington and 8 grandchildren.

Jim was born in Worcester, son of the late Andrew and Claire (Roy) Bjorkman and is also predeceased by a brother, Andrew Bjorkman III. He graduated from Holy Name High School in 1965 and later attained an associate’s degree from Becker College.

Mr. Bjorkman proudly served in the United States Air Force and worked as a draftsman for over 45 years with the Maguire Group. In Foxboro and previously worked for the Jamesbury Corporation in Worcester.

During his free time, he could often be found enjoying a round of golf or spending time with his family and friends.

A funeral will be held on Friday, April 29, from the Alfred Roy & Sons Funeral Home 12 Hammond St. Worcester with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM in Saint John Church 44 Temple St. Worcester. Burial with military honors will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Calling hours will be held on Friday, April 29 from 9 to 10:30 AM in the funeral home.
