Obituary

Kenneth A. Pacheco, 80, of Westport passed away on Sunday, April 24, 2022 at Fall River Healthcare. He was the husband of Jeannine (Gelinas) Pacheco.

Born in Fall River, son of the late Manuel and Margaret (Pimental) Pacheco, he had lived in Westport for over 40 years. Prior to retirement he worked at Globe Manufacturing. A veteran of the Vietnam War, he served his country in the United States Navy. He was a Communicant of Our Lady of Grace Church, Westport and was awarded the Marian Medal by the Diocese. Mr. Pacheco was very involved in the church, he served as president of the Couples Club, taught CCD for 35 years, was involved in the marriage preparation program for 35 years and worked bingo. He enjoyed singing and served as a soloist for the church and at family events. He was a member of the St. Vincent DePaul Society, the REC Prison Ministry, the St. Anne's Fellowship in Fall River and he volunteered at Whaler's Cove Assisted Living. Family was the most important thing to him, especially his grandchildren.

Including his wife, he is survived by 2 daughters: Jodi M. Weissman and her husband Edward of Somerset and Christine M. McCaughey and her husband Jason of Swansea; a brother: Mark Pacheco of Portsmouth; 3 sisters: Geraldine "Bunni" Baressi of CT, Cynthia Loria of Tiverton and Doreen O'Neil of Tiverton; 2 grandchildren: Harry and Skylar; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral to which relatives and friends are invited will be Friday, April 29, 2022 from the Potter Funeral Home at 10 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Grace Church at 11 A.M.

Visitation will be Thursday from 5 - 8 P.M.

Interment will be private.
