Grace T. (Rouillard) Michaud, 91, of Peabody, passed away peacefully, at her home, on Monday, April 18, 2022, following a brief illness. She was the devoted wife of the late Roland F. “Mitch” Michaud, with whom she shared 52 years of marriage and was the loving mother of the late Paul R. Michaud.
Born in Peabody she was the daughter of the late Romeo and Grace (Sauvageau) Rouillard. As a young woman Grace first worked as a sales person for the former Audet Bakery and the Bosse Bakery both of Salem. She and Mitch married in 1954 and from then on Grace was devoted to her family and her very large extended family. Grace was a kind and loving woman. She enjoyed dining out with family and the many family gatherings especially to celebrate holidays and special events. For many years she was a member of the former St. Joseph Parish in Salem and in 1971, when the family moved to Peabody, she became a member of St. John the Baptist Parish.
Grace is survived by her sisters, Alida J. Levesque of Peabody and Sister Jeanne Rouillard, SASV of North Oxford, her brother Paul G. Rouillard and his wife Mary Ellen of Danvers, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Relatives and friends are invited to an hour of visitation on Monday, April 25, 2022 at 10:00 AM in St. John the Baptist Church, 17 Church St., Peabody, to be followed by her Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM. Committal services will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, Salem.
