Jorge L. Rodriguez, a 15 year resident of Stoneham and formerly of Charlestown, entered into eternal life suddenly on Wednesday, April 20, 2022 at the Winchester Hospital. He was 74 years of age.
Jorge was born in Bayamon, Puerto Rico on April 23, 1947, a son of the late Francisco Rodriguez and Dolores (Cruz) Rodriguez. He grew up in Puerto Rico before immigrating to the United States as the age of 16, first moving to Jamaica Plain and then to Charlestown. Jorge worked in maintenance for Surburban Services in Medford for 45 years. He enjoyed playing the lottery, watching game shows, and was an avid Boston sports fan. Jorge was a quiet and caring man who loved his family. He was a true gentleman in every sense of the word.
Jorge is the beloved husband of 47 years to Silvia (Suazo) Rodriguez. He is the loving father of Gabriella Codair, and George Rodriguez and his wife Dary. He is the devoted Papa/Elo of Joseph, Nicholas, Cristian, and Erica. He is the dear uncle of Wanda Rodriguez and many other loving nieces and nephews. He is the beloved brother of Carmen Molina, Carlos Rodriguez, and the late Jose and Pedro Rodriguez.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Jorge's funeral on Monday, April 25, 2022 at 8:30 A.M. from The Carr Funeral Home, 220 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown followed by his Funeral Mass at 10 A.M. in St. Patrick's Church, 71 Central St. Stoneham. His burial will follow at Lindenwood Cemetery in Stoneham. His visiting hours will be held on Sunday, April 24, 2022 from 2 P.M. to 5 P.M. in the funeral home.
