Richard H. Lalor Jr., 92, of Dedham, died Sunday, April 30, 2006, at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston.
He was the husband of Catherine B. "Kay" (Day) Lalor for 66 years.
Born in Bronx, N.Y., he lived in Dedham for 35 years. He was a retired machinist for High Voltage Engineering in Burlington.
Mr. Lalor was a member of the Dedham Retired Men’s Club and the Dedham Young at Hearts Club Group 1.
Besides his wife, he leaves his children, Richard H. Lalor III and his wife, Kathleen, of Raynham, David E. Lalor and his fiancee, Liane Hutchins, of Readville, Maureen C. Berndt of Palm Beach Gardens, Fla., Roberta A. Drury of Norwood and Kathleen M. Lalor of Dedham; grandchildren, Richard IV, Kimberly, Michelle, William, Sandra, Jennifer, Toby, Peter and Keri; nine great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
He was the father-in-law of the late Edward "Spud" Berndt of Florida, and brother of the late Edward T. Lalor of Tampa, Fla., and Robert A. Lalor.
A funeral will be held Thursday, May 4, at 9 a.m., from the George F. Doherty and Sons Wilson-Cannon Funeral Home, 456 High St,. Dedham, followed by a funeral Mass at 10 a.m., at St. Mary’s Church, Dedham.
Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Medway.
Visiting hours are Wednesday, May 3, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., at the funeral home.
