Gail B. Pinieri passed at the age of 80, Tuesday, April 19, 2022 at the Pleasant Valley Nursing Home of Derry, NH. Born on January 22, 1942 in Andover, MA. the daughter of the late Joseph and Barbara (Cormey) Smeltzer. Gail enjoyed crafts, traveling with her husband, Rosario in their motor home, touring the country from the East to West Coast. Gail’s beloved dog, Skippa at her side, often seen in her scooter while she was galavanting with or without her partner in crime. Gail was a Nanny for the Hunkele family of three girls whom she nurtured from infancy to adulthood and maintained a close relationship to the present. Above all else, Gail was a loving wife, devoted mother and an unwavering dedication to her grandchildren and great grandchildren whom she shared enormous fond memories.
She is survived by her loving husband of 33 years, Rosario Pinieri; seven daughters, Bonnie Wood, Debbie Roy, Cindy Benson, Sherri Roberge, Wendy Roberge, Donna Pinieri, and Samantha Davis; 19 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; one brother, Alan Smeltzer, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held on Friday, April 22, 2022 from 4 – 7pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes & Crematorium, 290 Mammoth Road, Londonderry, NH with a service to begin at 6:30pm in the funeral home. A graveside service will be held on Saturday April 23, 2022 at 10:00am in St. Mary’s Cemetery, 90 River Road, Tewksbury, MA.
