Ronald T. Ruell, 68, of New Bedford died August 2, 2002 at Our Lady's Haven after a long illness.
He was the son of the late Eugene and Mary (Martin) Ruell.
Mr. Ruell was born in New Bedford and had lived in New Bedford for all of his life.
He was formerly employed as a bartender and cook at Lupo's, the Country Club of New Bedford, Me & Ed's and Miguel's.
Mr. Ruell served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict.
Survivors include 3 sons, Christopher A. Ruell of West Dennis, John A. Ruell of Virginia and Paul A. Ruell of Germany; 2 daughters, Susan A. Ruell of Acushnet and Pamela A. Dowd of Dartmouth; a brothers, Eugene Ruell, Jr., of Fairhaven; a sister, Elisabeth Cree of New Bedford; 10 grandchildren; a great-grandson; and several nieces and nephews.
His Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, August 8th at 2 PM in the Seamen's Bethel. Burial will be private.
