Eileen F. Morrison, 86, of Anchor Bay Assisted Living, passed away on Friday April 15th in the Hulitar Hospice Intake Center, Providence. She was the wife of the late Thomas D. Morrison, Sr. They had been married for 55 years.
Born in Woonsocket, a daughter of the late Arthur F. and Anne B. (Walsh) O’Brien. She had lived in Johnston most of her life.
Eileen with her husband Tom had a wonderful retirement. They wintered in FL and traveled throughout the United States. She was an active volunteer for her church and RI Hospital as an Extraordinary Minister. She also volunteered at the church food pantry and reading for the blind on local radio.
She leaves her children, Terrie A. O’Neill and her husband James of Providence, Thomas D. Morrison of North Smithfield, David A. Morrison of Johnston and Scott P. Morrison and his wife Stephanie of North Providence, her grandchildren, James, Thomas and Danielle O’Neill, Daniel, Thomas, III, David, Benjamin and Sophia Morrison and great-grandmother of Brianna, Cooper, Ethan and Henry O’Neill. She was the sister of Patricia Tessier of Groton, CT. She was the mother of the late Timothy P., Joseph and Daniel E. Morrison.
A Memorial Mass to which relatives and friends are invited will be held Saturday at 10am in St. Robert Bellamine Church, 1804 Atwood Avenue, Johnston. Burial will be in Highland Park, Johnston.
