Salem
Eva M. (Ruest) Levesque, of Salem Passed away at the Lafayette Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing Facility in Marblehead on Wednesday, April 13, 2022.
Born and raised in Salem, she was the daughter of the late Edmond and Eva (Lizotte) Ruest. As a young woman Eva first worked for Sylvania in Salem. She later owned and operated a tourist home on Lafayette Street in Salem for 16 years; until she decided on a career change. Eva returned to school to get her nursing degree. She began her nursing career at the Devereux House in Marblehead and later for the Home for the Deaf in Danvers. In 1984 she retired from the Salem Hospital.
Eva was a gracious and very independent woman who possessed the determination to achieve her goals. In her younger years she loved horseback riding and skiing. She was an avid animal lover and enjoyed her canine friend Sarah and their daily walks together. Eva was mother of the late Edmond Levesque and is survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to the Levesque Funeral Home, 163 Lafayette St. [Route 114 / 1-A] Salem on Wednesday, April 20, 2022, at 9:00 A.M. to be followed by her funeral service at 10:00 A.M. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Salem.
