
Laconia-Rita Marie Bolduc, 82, of 166 Baldwin Street died on Tuesday afternoon, May 2, 2006 at Lakes Region General Hospital after a period of failing health.
Rita was the daughter of the late Joseph J. and Bernadette A. (Beaudoin) Bolduc. She was born in Laconia on July 22, 1923 and had been a lifelong resident living in the family home where she was born.
Rita was a graduate of Laconia High School class of 1943, and a 1946 graduate of the former Notre Dame DeLourde School of Nursing in Manchester.
Prior to her retirement in 1985 Rita was a Registered Nurse at Lakes Region General Hospital in charge of Pediatrics. She had also worked for 1 year at the Laconia Clinic after graduating from Nursing School.
Rita was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church. Among her many interest and joys she was very fond and proud of her flower gardens. She was an accomplished seamstress and enjoyed knitting. She was also an avid reader. Rita truly loved animals, especially her companions, her cats and dogs.
Rita is survived by her sister, Marguerite G. Samson of Laconia, two nieces, Grace Theriault and her husband John of Belmont, and Jane Newton and her husband James of Laconia, two great-nieces, Rachel and Beth Newton of Laconia, and one great-nephew, Alex Bennett also of Laconia.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Monday, May 8, 2006 at Sacred Heart Church, 291 Union Avenue Laconia at 1:00 p.m. Rev. Adrien R. Longchamps pastor of the church celebrated the mass. There were no visiting hours. Family and friends were invited to attend. Burial will take place in the family lot at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Garfield Street on July 22, 2006.
