Eulalia Maria Diniz Bento, 73 of Lowell, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 6, 2022 at Lowell General Hospital. She was born on September 4, 1948 in Terceira, Azores, Portugal and was a daughter of the late Jose Martins Bento and the late Elci dos Milagres Diniz.
She was raised and educated in Terceira until 1968, when she relocated to Brazil. In 1997, she immigrated to the United States, settling in Kissimmee, FL with her daughter, Gracinda. In 2020 she moved to Lowell, Massachusetts with her daughter Elizabeth.
Eulalia was full of life and was always the life of the party. She was very active singing and involved in theater during her time Portugal. While in Lowell, she enjoyed spending time at the Portuguese Clubs and was fond of the music of Arlindo Andrade. Her passion was dancing. She also loved cooking for her family and spending time making memories as a family.
She is survived by her two daughters, Elizabeth Bento and her husband, Jose Bento of Lowell, and Gracinda Bento Cardoso and her husband, Stefano Frasson of Kissimmee, FL; her four grandchildren, Felipe and Lucas Bento Cardoso Moreira, Alexas Sofia and Deacon James Schulze; and two great grandchildren, Rebeka and Sofia; and many, nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family members, as well as many friends including Eliane Salquini who was like a daughter to her.
On Sunday, April 10, 2022 all are welcome to attend her calling hours from 2-5 p.m. at McDonough Funeral Home, 14 Highland Street, Lowell, MA 978-458-6816. Her funeral service will take place in the funeral home at 5 p.m.
