Marie-Jeanne J. Gregoire, 92, of 220 Woonsocket Hill Rd., North Smithfield, died Tuesday at Landmark Medical Center in Woonsocket. She was the wife of the late Romeo J. Gregoire.
Born in Theford Mine, Quebec, Canada, she was a daughter of the late Philippe and Marie-Alma (Cadorette) Hughes. Mrs. Gregoire came to the United States at the age of 12, and was a resident of Woonsocket for most of her life. She lived in North Smithfield for the past three years.
Mrs. Gregoire worked for the Reliance Plastics Company in Woonsocket for many years.
She is survived by a daughter, Lorraine J. Benoit, of North Smithfield, 2 grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Robert Hughes and the late Blanche Hodell.
Her funeral will be Friday at 9:00 am from the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home, 463 South Main St., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in St. John’s Church, Church St., North Smithfield. Burial will follow in St. Jean the Baptiste Cemetery, Bellingham. Visiting hours are Thursday from 4-7 pm. At the request of the family, Please omit flowers.
