Obituary



Jean L. DiMauro, a longtime resident of Woburn formerly of Somerville passed away unexpectedly, Saturday, April 2, 2022. She was 89. Born in Somerville she was the daughter of the late Emilio and Paulina (Delmonte) DiMauro.

Jean was raised and educated in Somerville and was a graduate of Somerville High School. She worked for over forty years prior to her retirement a secretary and administrative assistant to several Professors at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Jean’s life revolved around her work, her strong catholic faith and her beloved family. Throughout her life she was always active with her church whether it was St. Anthony Parish in Somerville or St. Charles Parish here in Woburn. In her leisure time and when she was younger Jean enjoyed bowling multiple times per week and belonged to several bowling leagues over the years.

Jean was the cherished sister of Amalia DiMauro of Woburn, the late Louisa DiMauro, Andrew DiMauro and his surviving wife Elaine of Billerica. She was the loving aunt of Michael DiMauro and his wife Eva of North Reading, Nancy Visco and her husband Daniel of Billerica, and Andrew DiMauro Jr. of Woburn. She is further survived by many great nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend calling hours at the McLaughlin - Dello Russo Family Funeral Home, 60 Pleasant St., WOBURN, Tuesday, April 12th, from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. followed by a funeral Mass celebrated in St. Charles Borromeo Church, 280 Main St., Woburn, at 11:30 a.m. Services will conclude with burial at Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett. It has been requested that in lieu of flowers contributions may be made in Jean's memory to St. Charles Church at the address mentioned above.
