Obituary

DUDLEY- Anita R. (Allard) Socha, 99, died Sunday, April 3, 2022 in Webster Manor with family at her side. Her husband of 69 years, Frank E. Socha, died in 2011.

She leaves a daughter, Candace G. Kuper and her husband Jason of Eastford, CT; a brother, Harvey “Junior” Allard, Jr. of Thompson, CT; 3 sisters, Lucille Pikora of Dudley, and Constance Chenard and Letha Cacciapouti, both of Webster; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother Harold F. “Harry” Allard and by her sister Shirley A. Arel.

She was born on October 13, 1922 in Oxford, the first child of Harvey Allard, Sr. and Anna (Breault) Allard and was raised in Webster. She lived in Dudley for most of her life before moving to Webster Manor 6 years ago.

Mrs. Socha worked as an inspector at American Optical Company in Southbridge in her youth. She also was employed at the former American Greeting Card Company in Webster and at Stevens Linen Associates. She was a homemaker for most of her life.

She was a member of Saint Andrew Bobola Church. She enjoyed sewing, gardening and baking, especially her famous cream puffs and homemade bread. She loved all animals.

Her funeral will be held Thursday, April 7, at 11:00 AM in Sitkowski, Malboeuf & Hickey Funeral Home, 340 School Street, Webster Burial will be in Saint Joseph Garden of Peace, Webster. A time of visitation will be from 9:30 until 11:00 AM that morning in the funeral home.
