Ann I. (Mathies) Pratt, 74, a longtime Lowell resident, passed away after a period of declining health.
Ann was born on March 31, 1947 in Lowell. A daughter of the late Clarence Mathies and the late Pearl (LeClaire), she was raised and educated in the Lowell area. She worked as an assembler with Atrium Medical for over 20 years before her recent retirement.
She loved the beach, playing cards and spending time with her children and grandchildren as much as she could. Those who know her, know she was a wonderful person who would help any way she could, even if it was the last dollar she had. Despite life's trials and tribulations in and around the City of Lowell, MA (a city she always found her way back to & loved), the woman who became known as "Ma", loved her six kids wholeheartedly and her kids loved her.
She is survived by her children, Kelly Burgess of Goffstown NH, Paul Patten of Lowell, John Pratt of Lowell, Michael Pratt of Fitchburg, Kim Pratt of Fairburn GA and William Pratt of Peachtree City GA. She is also survived by 6 her grandchildren (Christopher, Angela, Karynna, Alexis, Mykala and Krysta), one great grandchild (Sophia) and nieces and nephews.
Her funeral services were held privately from the MCDONOUGH FUNERAL HOME, 14 HIGHLAND STREET, LOWELL 978-458-6816. A celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
