Mr. Gerald “Jerry” C. Znamierowski, Jr., beloved husband of the late Carol A. (Winkley) passed away at his home on Thursday, March 31, 2022. He was 82 years old.
Born in Somerville, Massachusetts on August 1, 1939, he was a longtime resident of Andover and a 1959 graduate of Andover High School. Jerry’s career spanned decades in the food industry predominantly as a Sales Manager and was a long-time member of the Masons in Andover. He enjoyed spending time outdoors doing many of his favorite activities such as biking, fishing, skiing, bird watching, and boating on lakes and in the ocean. He spent many summers on Cape Cod with his family enjoying the beach. Jerry also enjoyed traveling throughout the country with his late wife. Most of all, he loved socializing and spending time with his family, grandchildren, and friends. He was loved by many and will be dearly missed.
Gerald is survived by his loving children; Karen Znamierowski Hammond of Ipswich, Jeffrey and his wife Marie Znamierowski of North Andover, and Gary Znamierowski of Ipswich, brother; Joseph and his wife Sharlene Znamierowski of Ville Platte, Louisiana, grandchildren; Alexander Hammond of Ipswich and Katherine Hammond of San Diego, Emily and Sophia Znamierowski of North Andover and Connor Broberg of North Andover as well as many cousins.
His Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Augustine Church, 43 Essex Street, Andover on Friday, April 8, 2022, at 10:30 AM. Relatives and friends are most welcome to attend. Interment will be held in the Spring Grove Cemetery in Andover. Calling hours have been omitted. In lieu of flowers, donations in Gerald's memory may be made to St. Augustine Church, 43 Essex Street, Andover, MA 01810.
