Obituary

“USLouis A. "Louie" DelloRusso, a 41 year resident of Everett and formerly of Charlestown and East Boston, entered into eternal life on Thursday, March 31, 2022 at the High Pointe House in Haverhill. He was 94 years of age.

Louie was born in Boston on January 31, 1928, a son of the late Louis DelloRuso and Louise (Paulitano) DelloRusso. He spent his early life in East Boston where he was educated in the Boston Public School System. Louie entered into the United States Army on May 4, 1946 and served his country with honor and courage during the United States' occupation of Japan following WWII. He was discharged on October 14, 1947 with the rank of Private First Class. Louie worked as a laborer in the construction industry throughout his life. He enjoyed walking around Everett, where many people got to know him. He loved watching horse racing and was very fond of his 2 Shih Tzus; Suzie and Sissy.

Louie is the devoted husband of 49 years to Carol A. (Fitzpatrick) DelloRusso. He is the beloved father of Linda Hamilton, Marie Callahan and her husband Maurice "Bob", Gina Cataldo, and the late Richard L. DelloRusso. He is the loving Papa Louie to his 5 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. He is the dear brother of Marie Arsenault, William DelloRusso, Diane Kinnally, and the late John DelloRusso. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Louie's visiting hours on Monday morning, April 4, 2022 in The Carr Funeral Home, 220 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown from 10 A.M. to 12 Noon, followed by his Funeral Service at 12 Noon. His burial will be at Woodlawn Cemetery in Everett.
