WOODSTOCK, CT - Earl Francis Burgess, Jr., 63, of Woodstock, Connecticut, passed away on January 15, 2022 after a sudden extended illness.
Earl was born on August 29, 1958 in Southbridge, Massachusetts, to the late Earl F. Burgess Sr. and Sophia M. (Fiorelli) Burgess. He grew up in Athol and Webster, Massachusetts, and then spent most of his adult life living in Woodstock, Connecticut.
Earl was a graduate of Bartlett High School in Webster. He attended Worcester Polytechnic Institute, where he obtained a degree in engineering, as well as his automotive certifications, which he continued to collect over the years from various schools as well. He worked as a mechanic for over 40 years.
Earl was very social and became friends with everyone he met. He enjoyed restoring his old muscle cars, riding his motorcycles, going to church, and spending time with his family.
Earl is survived by his two daughters, Danielle R. Bakanowsky and husband Adam C. Bakanowsky of Killingly, Connecticut; and Emilee N. Burgess of Dudley, Massachusetts; two grandchildren; and a brother, John C. Burgess of Connecticut.
Calling hours will take place on Sunday, April 24, 2022, from 2 PM to 5 PM, at Sitkowski, Malboeuf, & Hickey Funeral Home, 340 School Street in Webster, Massachusetts.
