Obituary

Karol Musto September 3, 1961 - March 29, 2022
Karol was the 5th child born to the late Angelina and George Musto. Karol’s
siblings are Edward and his wife, Bonny Musto, Maria Musto, Alex and his wife, Lorainne Musto and Angelo and his wife, Darlene Musto. Karol also has many wonderful nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Karol was born with Down Syndrome. She was a shining light to everyone she met
during her journey through life. She spread love and kindness to all. If you were lucky
enough to meet her, then you were blessed for life. She left her kind spirit and
contagious laughter everywhere she went.
Karol's childhood began in Roslindale where she went to the Washington Irving Middle
School and graduated from Hyde Park High School. After graduation she began working
for Work Inc., where she assembled office items. She looked forward to her bus ride,
socializing with her co-workers and being productive daily. When Karol could no longer
attend her work program, she was sorely missed by all the staff and co-workers. The
absence of her laughter and sweet personality left a void in the workplace.
Karol loved amusement parks, sleep overs, trips to Maine, visiting her siblings, and
seeing all her nieces and nephews. Karol also loved family parties and enjoyed
socializing with all her family. In her later years, Karol spent most of her time at home
with her mother, where she enjoyed her daily television shows and constant
conversation with family.
Karol eventually moved from her home in Roslindale to The Wrentham State School.
There, she was met by the most wonderful staff a family could hope for. Karol was
immediately welcomed with open arms by her extended family and friends. We were just
so grateful our sister spent her final years in such a caring environment.
We would like to thank The Wrentham State School & The Walter E. Fernald State School. Most importantly, all the beautiful people who made Karol’s life so complete and comfortable. Our most sincere thanks and appreciation.
Karol left her family with the most beautiful memories one could possibly imagine. A void that could never be filled. She taught us how to love unconditionally and be grateful for all our blessings.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in Karol’s honor to the following:
