Obituary

BROOKFIELD: Jeannine M. (Messier) Clark, 66, of Conestoga Trail, died Monday, March 28th at UMass Medical Center in Worcester after a brief but courageous battle with cancer.
She leaves her daughter Nicole M. Downie and her husband Jamie and their two children; Hannah Leigh & Hunter Stephen all of Jefferson, her brothers; Richard W. Messier and his wife Ruth of Spencer, and Roland A. Messier, Jr. and his wife Donna of Sturbridge, her sisters; Elaine J. Devlin of Webster and Michelle M. Messier of No. Brookfield, and many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her sister Denise A. Messier in 2021.
Jeannine was a machinist for Reed-Rico in Holden for 29 years. She then worked at Mercury Wire in Spencer for several years prior to her retirement.
She was born in Worcester, the daughter of Roland and Lorraine (Lapierre) Messier, Sr. and later graduated from David Prouty High School in Spencer.
She was a strong, independent woman with the best sense of humor. She was fond of crafting, gardening, birdwatching, and was a true animal lover--caring for and adopting many beloved cats and dogs throughout her lifetime. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother who was loved by many and a friend to all.
A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, April 5th at 11 am in the J.HENRI MORIN & SON FUNERAL HOME, 23 Maple Terr., Spencer. Burial will follow in Mary, Queen of the Rosary Cemetery, Spencer. A calling hour will precede the service on Tuesday from 10 to 11 am. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Second Chance Animal Services, P.O. Box 136, E. Brookfield, MA 01515.
