Sarah Mae Sellers Christie, 95, of Tifton, died Sunday, April 30, 2006, at Tift Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, May 4, 2006, at Kersey Funeral Home in Auburndale, Florida with visitation for one hour before the service. Burial will follow at Auburndale Memorial Park Cemetery.
A viewing will be held from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 2, 2006, at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Ms. Christie was born on January 27, 1911 in Houston County, Alabama. She was the daughter of Walker Sellers and Martha Cameron Sellers, both deceased. She was also preceded in death by her husband, James Christie. She was retired from Adams Packing Company and was a member of Tifton Missionary Baptist Church.
Ms. Christie is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Gwendolyn and George Parrish of Tifton; one brother, O. W. Sellers of Bainbridge; one sister, Lucy McGuire of Columbus; five grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; and two great great grandchildren.
