Obituary

Las Vegas, NV: Albert R.G. Pero age 72 of Las Vegas, died at his home April 18, 2006. He was the husband of Jeannette M. (Tardiff) Pero with whom he shared 53 years of marriage. Born and raised in Salem, he was the son of the late John G. and Augustine (Carrier) Pero.
A graduate of Ste Anne School, St. Joseph Academy, Industrial Technology Institute, he also attended Northeastern University. For many years Mr. Pero was purchasing agent for the City of Salem, working first in City Hall and then for the Shaughnessy Kaplan Rehabilitation Hospital. At the time of his retirement, he had returned to work in City Hall. Following his retirement, he and his wife moved to Nevada, from Salem, 10 years ago. An excellent dancer, he was also fond of golfing, skiing, camping and traveling.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by 4 sons: John A. Pero and his wife Gloria of Salem, James G. Pero and his wife Anne of Tampa, FL, Daniel P. Pero and his wife Robin of Chandler, AZ, Albert R. Pero and his companion Vickie Stimus of Albany, NY, 1 brother: Napoleon Pero of Beverly, 4 sisters: Yvonne Boudreau of Topsfield, Rose Pelletier & Irene Fazio both of Danvers, Doris Mackey of Hamilton. He was also survived by 6 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother William Pero and 3 sisters: Beatrice Hall, F. Adele Pero and Eva Lavoie.
Relatives and friends are invited to gather at the Levesque Funeral Home, 163 Lafayette St., Salem [Rt. 114 / 1-A] on Thursday, May 4, 2006 for his memorial service at 10 am.
