Robert Tyrone Paige Sr. was a loving father, husband, grandson, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin and best friend. Tyrone was born on March 7th 1972 in Boston MA to the late Robert Thomas Gelzer of Boston MA and the late Elizabeth Morristena Paige of Reidsville N.C. He was the youngest brother of 6. He is preceded in death by his grandmother Elizabeth Vera Paige.
Tyrone, also respectfully and affectionately called Paige, was raised and educated in Boston and remained a resident throughout his life. Throughout his childhood he was active in Football and Basketball. He was also an excellent dancer, especially break-dancing. He loved music, amusement parks, playing pool and food. For a tiny man he could eat! And he loved him some salad and ice creams. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his kids, doing different things and watching movies. His Madea “Hellur, how you durn” was his favorite thing to say when greeting someone.
Tyrone was a man with a heart of gold. He was willing to help anyone who needed him and touched many lives. All who knew him, loved him. He was a jack of all trades, could build and fix anything (or so he thought) and loved to paint houses. There wasn’t anything he couldn’t do!
Tyrone departed this world on March 3, 2022 at the young age of 49. Four days before his 50th birthday. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife Tammy Paige, his children Robert Paige Jr. Samantha Carlson, Jayden Paige and his stepdaughter Katelynn. He also leaves his siblings Joseph Paige, Lawrence Dunston, Tarshia Paige, Shemekia Paige and Cassandra Ware, as well as many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends.
