Gail Frances (Flammia) Morrison, 69, of York Beach, ME (formerly of Medford, MA and Webster, MA) passed away on March 21, 2022 surrounded by her loving family following a courageous battle with a rare form of T-cell Lymphoma.
Born on January 21, 1953 to Barbara and James Flammia, Gail was the second born of six children. She attended Medford High School, where, in 1967 she met Kenny, the love of her life. From that point on, the two were inseparable. The high school sweethearts were married for 49 years.
Gail is survived by her husband Kenny, of York Beach, ME.
A fiercely dedicated mother and nana, Gail is also survived by her three children, Lynne, of York Beach, ME and her partner, Robert, as well as Lynne’s daughter, Michaela Jaclynn, Kevin, of Colorado Springs, CO, his wife Caustina and their three children, Miranda, Natalie and Liam, Michael, of York Beach, ME, and his wife, Amber. Gail loved unconditionally and was a beacon of support to her children and grandchildren. Family came first and was, above all else, a value she instilled in all those around her. The hole left by her absence is impossible to fill.
In addition to her beloved husband, children and grandchildren, Gail is survived by her sister, Barbara Flammia and her spouse, Mary Beth Hollingworth of Haverhill, James Flammia and his wife Gail of North Andover and William Flammia and his wife Patricia of Peoria, AZ.
Gail is also survived by her “sister cousin” and many beloved and cherished family members and friends.
For many years, Gail fulfilled her passion in caring for others, as a Certified Nursing Assistant, brightening the lives of seniors with Alzheimer’s and dementia. She found wonder in nature and loved to travel.
Gail was predeceased by her parents Barbara and James Flammia, older sister Donna Carty, and younger sister Laura Breton and grandson, Kaiden.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Gail’s name to the Easter Seals Adult Day Program, 215 Rochester Hill Rd., Rochester, NH 03867. Those who knew Gail will remember how selfless she was and that she never wanted to be the center of attention. Per her wishes, there will be no services.
