Richard J. Depatie,73, of 112 Meadow Rd., died Saturday, April 29
at St. Vincent Hospital in Worcester after being stricken ill at home.
He leaves his devoted daughter Andrea L. Depatie of Spencer with whom he
lived, two grand children who he was very proud of; Aimie K. Peloquin and
Adam P. Peloquin of Spencer, a brother Francis W. Depatie, Jr. of Oxford,
nieces and nephews.
Mr. Depatie was a truck driver for Millbrook Distributors in Leicester for
many years, retiring in 1999. He was presently employed at R & M Leasing of
Webster. He was a member of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters,
Local 170-Worcester. A Marine Corps veteran of the Korean War, he received
the Purple Heart,the Korean Service Medal with 4 Stars, and Commendation
Ribbon with Combat "V" for his service in Korea. He was a member of the
"Chosin Few" Chapter (N.England and National), Tun Tavern Society in
Worcester, American Legion Post 341 in Worcester and VFW Post 3439 in
N.Brookfield. He was a member of the Spencer Fish & Game Club.
Born in Worcester, he was the son of Francis W. and Nellie (Lemire) Depatie,
Sr.
The funeral will be held on Thursday, May 4 from the J.HENRI MORIN & SON
FUNERAL HOME, 23 Maple Terr., Spencer with a Mass at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of
the Rosary Church, 7 Church St., Spencer. Burial will follow with Military
Honors in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Calling hours are
Wednesday, May 3 from 5 to 7p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be
