Obituary

SPRINGFIELD - Carol A. (Wetherell) Gacek, 78, of East Springfield, was Called Safely Home on Sunday, March 13, 2022. She passed into Eternal Life at her home surrounded by the care and comfort of her loving family. She was born in Hartford, Connecticut on September 27, 1943, a beloved daughter of the late Arthur and Veronica (Zelasko) Wetherell. She leaves her three loving and devoted children, Veronica Delp and her husband, Paul, of Granby, Marie R. Gacek and her partner, Daniel Harlow, of Springfield and Stanley J. Gacek, III and his partner, Amy Gendron, of Westfield; her step son, Alan Molin and his wife, Diane, of Hardwick; her 12 cherished grandchildren; her four cherished step grandchildren; her six cherished great grandchildren; her two dear brothers, David Wetherell and his wife, Judi, and Paul Bolden and his wife, Tamara; her five dear sisters, Rose Mee and her husband, Christopher, Alice Dussault and her husband, Ron, Lillian Guerin and her husband, Leonard, Jane Wetherell and Debra Noyes and her husband, Robert; her dear sister in law, Jean Wetherell; and her many dear nephews, nieces, cousins, friends and extended family members. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her son, Harold D. Molin; her step son, Michael Molin; her three dear brothers, Peter, Arthur and Roy Wetherell; and her dear sister, Christine Wetherell. Her Funeral will be held on Monday, March 21, 2022 beginning at the St. Pierre-Phaneuf Springfield Chapels, (413-737-1177), 7 Chapin Terrace, Springfield, MA 01107, (funeral home will open at 9 a.m.), followed by a Celebration of Life Service at 11 a.m. in the funeral home. Her Burial will follow the Service at Aspen Grove Cemetery, 95 Pleasant Street, Ware, MA 01082. Her family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, March 21, 2022 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. prior to the Service. Masks are recommended for her services.
